Endometriosis Action Month

March is Endometriosis Action Month, a time to raise awareness of a condition that affects more than 1.5 million women in the UK, yet still too often goes undiagnosed or misunderstood.

Despite its prevalence, only 50% of young people aged 16 to 24 know what endometriosis is. That’s why awareness campaigns — and open conversations — are so vital.

I was delighted to meet with Paralympic champion and advocate @CHenshawGB, whose courage in speaking out about her own experience helps to break the stigma and push for better education, research, and support. It was an inspiring and eye-opening discussion.

Thanks also to @EndometriosisUK for leading the charge in campaigning for earlier diagnosis, better care, and stronger understanding of this debilitating disease.

Far too many people suffer in silence, facing years of pain before receiving a diagnosis. That has to change. I’ll continue to support efforts in Parliament and beyond to ensure women and people with endometriosis are heard, understood, and given the support they need.

Let’s use this month not just to raise awareness — but to take action.
