West Suffolk Annual Civic Dinner

It was a pleasure to attend the West Suffolk Council Annual Civic Dinner, hosted by Councillor Pat Hanlon, Chair of West Suffolk Council. The evening was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a year of achievements across our district and to recognise the individuals and organisations making a real difference in our communities.

Events like this are about more than just reflection — they’re about coming together to support important local causes. This year’s dinner highlighted the fantastic work of Reach Haverhill and the Accessible Learning Foundation, both of which are helping to empower individuals, tackle inequality, and promote inclusion across West Suffolk.

A particular highlight of the evening was the exceptional meal, prepared and served by the talented catering students at West Suffolk College. The quality of the food and service was truly outstanding — a clear reflection of their dedication and professionalism. It’s no surprise that West Suffolk College continues to be rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Thank you to everyone who made the evening so special. It’s a reminder of just how much we have to be proud of here in West Suffolk.
